This is why we’re here

The heart and soul of this community does not lie in the realm of a handful of angry people that happen to own a fistful of acres in our region. The working class people that I know, that populate every corner of this city, don’t have the luxury of literally hissing during official meetings and insulting city staff so that they get their way.

Attacking the professionals that run the technocratic plumbing infrastructure of our community is an assault on every employee of Tullahoma. It’s an attack on previous leaders, it’s an attack on property rights, and an assault on the very concept of community.

If the plan is to drive out young and hopeful minds that move to or live in a town like Tullahoma, you’re sending the right signals. If the strategy is to trample on the lower rungs of the economic ladder, keep on doing what you’re doing because it’s working. If the policy is to destroy the idea of a mindfully crafted community that is next door to a national security asset essential to the defense of our country, then keep on what you’re doing, because you’re getting results.
